Here are some photographs of our walking tour in old Delhi. This heritage walk is one of the most popular options in our list. This route covers the main street of Chandni Chowk starting at the Digamber Jain Lal Mandir, opposite Red Fort. Next is the Gauri Shankar Temple & the SBI building all of these being very prominent landmarks in old Delhi. A well known historic site is the fountain chowk with Sisganj Gurdwara, Sunheri Masjid, Ghantewala Shahi Halwai around it. It is just a few steps from Dariba Kalan with its jalebi shop at the corner. Central Baptist Church stands opp. Dariba Kalan. The walk then enters the bylanes of old Delhi from Parathewali Gali, through Kinari Bazaar & Naughara. We negotiate the narrow streets of purani dilli delighting in the old havelis & temples & bazaars. Once we are back on Chandni Chowk, the Town Hall is the next stop followed by a slight detour towards Katra Neel. This neighbourhood is known for Chunna Mal haveli besides its numerous shivalayas or temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. By now we are closer to the other end of Chandni Chowk, where we visit Fatehpuri Mosque & Khari Baoli, famous as the spice market. The final stop is Gadodia Market, a warehouse in Khari Baoli where the rooftop offers an excellent view of the old city.
